Sitekit Attains Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Status
18 July 2008

Sitekit Solutions Ltd, the successful Skye-based software company, announced it has attained Microsoft Gold Certified Partner status in the ISV/Software Solutions competency of the Microsoft Partner Program.

Sitekit CMS was tested independently by VeriTest and passed the “Platform Test for Hosted Solutions”, recognizing Sitekit’s expertise and impact in the rapidly growing SaaS (Software as a Service) market.

As a Gold Certified Partner, Sitekit Solutions Ltd has demonstrated expertise with Microsoft technologies to build and host quality software solutions and a proven ability to meet customers’ business needs.

Campbell Grant MD of Sitekit Solutions Ltd said “We are delighted to be among an elite group of Microsoft Gold Certified Partners; this achievement demonstrates our commitment to continue working with Microsoft to deliver innovative software applications in the CMS space.

Chris Eckl, Technical Director at Sitekit and architect of Sitekit CMS added “Customers look for Microsoft Certification status from software suppliers to demonstrate they can bridge the gap between business demands and technology. They need to trust in a vendor that can act as an expert supplier over the long-term”.

As one of the requirements for attaining Gold Certified Partner status, Sitekit Solutions Ltd had to declare a Microsoft Competency. Microsoft Competencies are designed to help differentiate a partner’s capabilities with specific Microsoft technologies to customers looking for a particular type of business solution. Each competency has a unique set of requirements and benefits, formulated to represent the specific skills and services that Microsoft partners provide. The two core competencies successfully demonstrated by Sitekit in order to be certified were:

  • Platform Hosted Windows Server
  • Platform Hosted Managed Code

The Microsoft Partner Program was launched in October 2003. The program offers a single, integrated partnering framework that recognizes partner expertise and rewards the impact that partners have in the business technology marketplace.
