Sitekit announces another successful NHS website build, NHS North East Essex. The trust wanted a new fresh and modern website to bring all the different sectors across North East Essex together. The new website needed to be simple to navigate and be very easy for staff to keep up to date. The trust also wanted to build some micro sites, one for young people and associated health issues and also a site for provider services. Sitekit CMS was chosen for all the sites as the system would enable the trust to have the control they wanted and be able to manage all the sites centrally.
Chief Executive, Dr Paul Zollinger-Read for NHS North East Essex was keen to have his blog about local health live on the new website. Sitekit CMS enables him to publish his blog and other interactive features very easily himself making the site much more engaging for visitors.
The new website was built and all content migrated over using Sitekit’s rapid deployment program in less than four weeks. Sitekit Accredited design partner Bloom Media was selected to come up with a design for the initial templates for the site. The trust had been very impressed with the site they designed for NHS Barnsley which has recently been named one of the top 5 NHS websites. The design features colour coded sections for the different services, to help break down the complexity of the website and aid navigation.

In particular it has lots of really good advice on how to keep healthy and is more user friendly, both for site visitors and web managers than our previous site.”
