Sitekit Environmental Commitment
Our long term strategy is simple … we can always do better. By choosing to live and work in the remote and beautiful Scottish Hebrides we are sensitive to the importance of our environment. On day to day operations, we actively recycle what goods we can, such as glass and paper and wherever possible purchase environmentally friendly products.
Sitekit head office operates an energy efficient automatically controlled heating system to minimise building impact and monitor electricity usage closely, training our employees in the positive impact that small activities such as shutting down IT equipment. 2007 will see the installation of auxiliary wind turbines to lessen our reliance on fossil fuels.
Sitekit encourages employees to use green transport and put facilities in place to support this achievement, such as bicycle racks, secure storage, and shower facilities for employees who cycle to work. We are careful, where possible, to share transportation and weather permitting use green alternatives such as pedal power. These small steps make a difference.
