Easily create sophisticated forms

Sitekit CMS form builder

Well set-out, easy to use forms are a vital part of visitor/website interaction. Sitekit CMS’ forms module allows you to build forms which are customiseable, extensible, and easy to use.

With Sitekit CMS, you can create sophisticated multi-page forms, and secure forms for sensitive information – a feature extremely important for healthcare and government organisations, and any e-commerce business. The forms are easy to build, and can include drop down lists, tick boxes, explanatory text, radio buttons and text areas. When a user responds to a form, their response is recorded in a database and emailed to the administrator
responsible.

Administrative users can save all their form submissions as CSV files for export to common applications such as Microsoft Excel.

Key form features

  • Fully Extensible - there is no limit to the number of fields that you can enter into a form
  • Multi-page forms – Large forms can be made less intimidating to site users by spanning the individual fields across several pages.
  • Cloning forms – once created a form can be copied within Sitekit and then edited to produce several versions of the same form. This is good for trailing forms type and usability testing.
  • Flexible form submission target – When you create a form you can decide to submit the data to several sources. This means that you could set up a receiver for form requests on your internal business systems and have web queries submit to there also,
  • Navigation trail – The forms owner receives notification that a form has been submitted, this notification also gives a history of all the other pages on the site the user has visited.
  • Form field choices – Sitekit CMS present you with a large array of field types and built in validations to put in your web forms. Sitekit support basic text fields, custom patterns matching and even built in Credit card number field (with checksum checks).
  • Hidden fields – hidden fields containing constants can be added to form fields  submission to allow Sitekit CMS forms to mesh with existing business logic.
  • Submission storage – All form submissions are archived and can be retrieved and exported in XML or CSV form.
  • Accessible forms – the forms module produces fully watchfire compliant elements (input fields coupled with their associated labels). The forms module also allows for the grouping of input fields via the fieldset tag.
  • Attachments with forms – forms can be created that allow form users to upload attachments with their submission. This could be useful for attaching application forms, CV’s etc.
  • Table or div based layouts – forms can be configured to use tables or DIV tags to give full flexibility over their appearance.
  • User verification – forms can be configured so that users submitting automatically receive an email requesting them to confirm their identity by clicking on the link embedded in the email. Data being output can then be filtered on ‘verified’ users only.
  • Browsing history - When the form owner receives notification of that a form has been received the submitters previous browsing history is added to the bottom of the form as a configurable option. Not only can you tell what they’ve submitted to you but you can also find out which parts of your site they visited before submitting.

Sitekit secure forms

Whether you’re a small private business, a multinational organisation, or a government body, Sitekit secure forms provides complete peace of mind over integrity and protection of information.

Using powerful and randomly generated encryption protocols and decryption ciphers, Sitekit secure forms provides the perfect mechanism for any information or financial transaction.

Sitekit CMS allows you to make your forms secure using the HTTPS protocol. Both the form submission and the submission report, sent to the form owner, are secured. This ensures that all information is encrypted before being sent over the web. Editors wishing to make use of this facility need to have their own encryption keys which can be obtained from Sitekit.

The procedure is as follows:

  • Download executable from Sitekit.
  • Generate encryption key.
  • Use the tool to upload the key onto the relevant user of the site.
  • Create a sitekit form with that user, selecting the secure option.
  • Use the decryption key to decrypt all emails sent via that form or the downloaded encrypted CSV files.
