Sitekit CMS API - uploader

Sitekit CMS uploader application programming interface (API) extends the existing functionality of the CMS to enable better interaction with third party systems.

The uploader exposes functionality for listing folders held in the Sitekit CMS libraries and also allows user to add to both file and picture libraries programmatically.

Typical uses

The uploader API has been used to date in many different situations, including the following:

• Windows upload form – A traditional windows desktop application was created to allow users to select and upload files and images directly into their sites Sitekit CMS library
• Scheduled updates – A command line based version of the uploader API allows a 3rd party to periodically update an XML file held in the Sitekit CMS library. This file in turn is used as the source of some time specific data.
