Version 8.19

Release date 19th May 2009

Sitekit CMS version 8.19 went live on our shared hosting enviroment today.

Currently the majority of our development focus is on our next major release version 9.0 (scheduled for mid 2009) . This will be a major step forward in CMS design and implementation, accessible, cross browser and cross platform. We're also heavily involved with supporting REST-ful interfaces, SharePoint Integration and the integration of dotNet controls.

The main points of interest in this latest release are:

1. Restyling admin - the admin syst4em has been simplified to reduce clutter, input specific help is now hidden behind info icons and the field sets are centralised to make them work better on a large screen
2. Recording of Channel emailer bandwidth - bandwidth used for sending mailshots can now be calculated and presented as a report
3. Improved security - several changes have been made to improves security in the light of comment recieved from penetration tests.
