As we reach the year’s close we’d like to take this opportunity to reflect on the year that’s past and look ahead to what promises to be a pivotal 2019.
"Sitekit has evolved and grown over the course of 2018 with the company moving from strength to strength. Our identity division in Edinburgh continues to grow, while in England our healthcare division is flourishing with new offices opened in London to accommodate their growth.
Commercially, we have entered into some fantastic working partnerships with people and companies who share our vision for person-centred and connected digital services.
We successfully delivered several ground-breaking cloud solutions in identity using Microsoft’s Azure IEF platform, working with some global brands and government departments.
We are also leading the field in the UK for connected personal health records working with NHS England to launch the eRedbook nationally.
We thank our partners and clients for their continued support and look forward to working together in the New Year."
- Campbell Grant, Group MD
Over the course of 2018 we experienced rapid growth and engaged in some of the most innovative and exciting work in the identity sector, embarking on a major project to deliver an international integration layer that will enable people to assert their digital identity anywhere in the world.
As part of the Decentralised Identity Foundation (DIF) we are engaging with partners to deliver the next generation of digital identity technology. In Scotland we continue to pursue our efforts in R&D with the Scottish Government, piloting the infrastructure for an identity system that will deliver digital identity for Scotland’s public sector and citizens.
The story behind our momentum lies in the innovative solutions our team has designed and built hand in hand with our customers: listening, understanding and designing custom journeys that explicitly satisfy their requirements. Moving forward into 2019 we’re embarking on exciting new partnerships, solidifying old and continuing to seek out new opportunities to apply technologies that will make digital services more trusted, accessible and secure.
2018 has been a big year. With the support and help of NHS England, eRedbook has been redesigned from the ground up taking user feedback into consideration. The redesigned eRedbook is now live in two trusts in London with a wide-scale rollout planned in London, Lancashire and Bristol and the South West for early 2019, making eRedbook available to the parents of more than 100,000 babies in the first year.
Sitekit is now established as a key member of the NHS Digital Child Health interoperability landscape, undertaking work on the NHS national NEMS (National Events Management System) and regional LEMS (Local Events Management System) projects. The team has doubled in size in 2018, both in Bloxham and our new London offices, and will continue to grow in 2019 as a response to our increased deep involvement with the NHS in these areas.
From five men in a room in Skye we have grown to a whole house, keeping jobs in the technology sector open in the Highlands and Islands and ensuring the company retains its distinctive culture and identity. The team continues to grow and support operations across the company.
"I would like to echo Campbell’s thanks to all our partners for helping us reach where are today.
As a company we are now a recognised name in the UK health space based on eRedbook and are a market leader in delivering identity systems for the private and public sector in the UK.
Our technology choices, not just over the last year, are paying off:
We are proud to have achieved ISO 27001 certification this year, so our customers can be satisfied our software and services are built on solid ground and can be relied upon.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!"
- Chris Eckl, Sitekit Identity CEO
We thank our partners and clients for their continued support and look forward to working together in the New Year.
