Sitekit CTO Chris Eckl joined the Association of British Healthcare Industries’ (ABHI) MedTech Trade mission to Texas, USA.
ABHI, with support from UKTI, ran a Medical Technology Trade Mission to Texas from 14 to 21 May 2016. The purpose of the mission was to explore the significant opportunity in Texas and create demand for UK products.
Texas and the UK have a successful and collaborative history, sharing many core values and goals. Sitekit has a portfolio of innovative health products that improve patient outcomes, efficiency, and productivity across health systems.
Chris Eckl, architect for Sitekit’s product suite (eRedbook, Self Care Digital Platform and Sitekit CMS) is a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for Citizen Identity Management, Personal Health Records (PHRs), Enterprise Architecture, Trust Frameworks, Interoperability, and Agile Development.
“It was a fantastic opportunity to promote UK digital health products in Texas, share lessons learned and discover how these can be applied to new markets. Sitekit’s digital health products are actively improving health outcomes in the UK and there’s no reason why our technology could not be applied successfully in other regions.
For instance, eRedbook, the digital child health record that helps parents manage the health and development of their child, could be a great asset to child health professionals in Texas.
We were able to learn more about the health landscape in Texas, engage with hospitals and life sciences organisations and see where we can be of added value to each other. The trade mission offered us a platform to develop US-UK collaborations that will help shape the future of health and improve the lives of many.”
