Following publication of “Creating test environments with the private sector”, we are pleased to provide more detail on one of our new offerings: the Verify Sandbox, which allows organisations to leverage assured user identities in their service delivery.
Verify gives the citizen a choice of identity providers to access digital government services and is currently live for a number of departments. GDS (Government Digital Service), the sponsoring organisation behind Verify, has the vision to deploy Verify to all centrally-managed as well as local government departments, with the ambition to give citizens a secure and portable online identity. In addition, Verify will be rolled out to the private sector.
Over the past months we have worked with GDS to certify against the Verify standards. (Our Self-Certification document can be found here.) In practical terms, this means that we can now help organisations get ready for Verify by deploying the service in a test environment, called Verify Sandbox.
The Verify Sandbox enables organisations to understand some of the implications of a private sector Verify framework, including the requirements involved in connecting to Verify and the path to live operations. It enables organisations to conduct initial testing projects so that they can achieve an understanding of how to leverage Verify and trustworthy digital identities within their organisations.
If your organisation would like to explore ways to make it easy and secure for users to access your services online, and would like to learn about how Verify can enable this, please get in touch with our team.
